Chief
Heard it one W*** Detroit sports talk show on way home. They said he's going back to the Wolverines who dumped Herrmann, who was the defensive co-ordinator. Seems like the jump in position to stay with the Wolverines was better than the same position in the pro's. Seems like alot of guys almost hired, then change their minds this year. I can see why certain guys stay in college because of the better security, but I have to wonder why some don't take the jump. I understand the fact that he gets a jump up in the ladder of coaching. I'm also happy he is back, and our new defensive co_ordinator over Herrmann who seems to have stagnated since '97. I'm also glad he didn't go to a divisional rival on top of it. Maybe this gives him a jump up to be a defensive co-ordinator instead of defensive backs coach in the NFL providing he succeeds. I would have thought he would have took the Bears job to be in the pro's, as a secondary/defensives back coach I can't see where the stability would have been that bad. Did or does the vast amount of coaching changes this year scare off every potential new coach from the college ranks? Dunno why it censored it, but W D F N radio show Edited February 10, 2006 by Chief
