Thanks for the pointless input peep.

But has anyone else heard any news on his hammy?

It's a strain, they decided to shelf him for 3 weeks, they apparently did no MRI, and he gets treatment daily, and if all goes well-may, and I said "may" see some PT in the Aug 24 game vs Jax. He was on the sidelines at Fan Fest all grins and cutting it up with the fans in attendance.

The word was about three weeks down time, so he's got two to go, most likely/possibly could see action in the Aug 24 PS game.

I would wait for a month if I was the brain-trust down there.

Hey P Dave

With SS missing time in Mini camp with that same hammy and now again missing, anybody down there getting nervous about that wheel? SS is a huge game breaker but sometimes a hammy injury can last forever. :D

I'm no Doc, but speaking from personel exp., a hammy is a weird thing. I had one tighten up, I hydrated, stretched, deep tissue massage-you name it. Well, it felt better, and lo and behold when I took off after about 2 1/2 weeks rehab-Bam, down I went. The Doc who treated me( same one who rebuilt my ACL in my left knee) said it's somewhat common for a twinged hammy to run it's course, the course many times is to go ahead and strain it etc(not intentionally) and hope to not be torn. He said that hammy's and groins are just different from other muscles for some reason-why? Hell if I know, but mine has not bothered me since then and I just think it's the same with Smitty, as he has had this occur before in TC. The fact that he was on the sideline at Fan Fest in civey's smiling and cutting it up with the fans, is to me, promising. If it was much worse than we are being told, then he would be living in the rehab facility at TC etc. When you recontruct a knee, you fug it up worse than the initial injury to get it back right or close to it, so I think he'll rehab, get it healed and be just as lethal.
