joe dirt
Just got done listening to the kfan fantasy show. its not to bad but we get more info here thats for sure. When they broke down the K.C. game they said that once Huard came in the game LJ's numbers looked something like this. 5 rushes for 1 yrd or less and half of his carries were for neg. yards. I believe they said he had 12 carries once he came in for Green. Anyway you look at that its bad news. Going against a tuff bronco run def. he could be in for a long day. With Green out for probably a month I would really consider trying to trade him. By week 7 he will be considered the biggest bust of the first round. joe dirt
So I went and looked at last weeks game to see what he did after Huard came in the game Rushing 1 for -1 2 for -1 3 for -1 4 for 0 5 for 18 6 for 1 6 for 16 yrds Receiving 1 for 25 2 for 8 3 for 23 4 incomplete 5 incomplete 6 for 13 6 for 69 yrds So I guess he was huards fav. dump off target. DMD
There are a couple of considerations here. 1. Huard came in and played for only the final 19 minutes of the game or less than a third of the game. 2. It was only week one. 3. The Chiefs just witnessed their QB leave the field on a stretcher. 4. Johnson was only used in three series by Huard and the Chiefs were already behind 20-3 when he started. It was for the final 1/3 of the game right after the franchise QB was very seriously injured. I don't think it is enough of a sample to be making any hard and fast determinations from. Losing the starting QB is almost never a good thing for anyone on the offense, so it would be assumed to effect him to some degree. Trading LJ right now probably doesn't make any sense because his value is as low as it has been. Playing @DEN will be a tough gig this week and they they have a bye week. Green may be back then but regardless, the Chiefs then face SF and ARZ next which should be good games.

joe dirt
No way!!! I went into my drafts knowing that if he fell to me I would pass on him. After all of things that have happened to this team and the way they played in the preseason "I know its only preseason" I said there is no way I would wan't him on my team. I had the 5th pick in both my drafts and took Tiki and backed him up with Jacobs in both. I understand that it was only one game but look what happened in that one game. K.C. qb's were sacked 7 times! The o-line ranks right up there with Oaklands. Turley can't block at all, he lost his lead blocker, new coaching staff and every team that plays them will know what is coming this year. When you are outscored 17-3 in the first half I understand that you have to go away from the run but with a back of his caliber shouldn't you be the ones that are up 17-3? If I am wrong I will be the first to admit it but I still say by week 7 he will be the biggest bust of the first round. You do make a good point DMD his value is low but would you wan't to go into each week with him as your number one horse??? By name alone you could get a number one reciever and a late teir two back in return........Maybe?????
