Carolina is awful. how do you reward your 1st round pick after accounting for 399yds of offense in 3 weeks? 2 carries, 5 pass targets, and back to kickoff return duty. The Giants did double and triple cover Smith often, but he should have gotten more looks than he did IMO. I just think Weinke had a comfort level with Carter. He did throw for over 400 yards. Also, there was not one pass interference penalty called during the entire game yesterday. I think you had to actually stab someone to get a PI flag thrown. There were a couple of beyond blatant PI's that were not called on both sides of the ball. I'm pretty sure that had something to do with it as well. I'm pretty sure that had something to do with it as well. That often is true with backup QB's. They often work with the 2nd team WR's. Still Smith is an awesome talent and who among us wouldn't throw to him? When covered throw to area and ask him to go get the ball? He's explosive and will westle the ball away from almost any DB. Delhomme often does this but I guess he forgets to tell Smith one or both of the following a) which area he's throwing to and b ) go get the ball.
