Randall
May 9, 2007, 12:59 Falcons :: DL, LB LB D. Williams, DT R. Coleman Injury Updates Atlanta Journal Constitution - Atlanta LB Demorrio Williams could be ready for the season opener according to Falcons HC Bobby Pitino. Williams had surgery two weeks ago to mend a torn pectoral muscle. Pitino also said that DT Rod Coleman could miss the first few weeks of the season while recovering from surgery to repair his ruptured quadriceps. From some medical injury sites -A torn pectoral muscle isn't the easiest injury in the world to deal with. The interesting thing is that it sometimes leads to an end of a career, and not just a season. When surgery is called for the surgeon will reconnect the muscle, but in most cases the muscle will never be as strong or as flexible prior to the injury. Rehabilitation with this injury is long and painful.
