KevinL
He's not even listed on the depth chart. Not as a KR or PR or anything. Wears #17, 3rd year out of Saginaw Valley State. He had 1 catch in 2005 for the Lions. 6 for 70 yesterday for the Broncos.

How is it that Denver makes playoff runs with players who couldn't hack it in Cleveland or Detroit? As far as that goes, the kid was a numbers victim here. Between all the draft picks (Roy, Chuck, Williams), and all the veterans we've signed/kept around depth (Furrey/McDonald/Johnson/Bradford), plus, until recently, a dedicated return man (Eddie Drummond), there was no room for Martinez (or Kircus for that matter). Martinez is a tough kid, he can retturn and get good YAC. Takes hits, makes tough catches. I was bummed it didn't work out for the hometown team, but like with Kircus, I'm glad to see him catch on elsewhere, and especially with a winner.
