Bronco Billy
I don't want to put out a WDIS, and I'll make my own decision on this, but I'd like your feelings on this. How do you see Gonzales' performance today? Average, solid, weak? The reason being I could statr him over Evans, and am seriously considering it. Evans has averaged 2 catches for 36 yds in 8 games vs NE, and in his last 5 vs NE he has been putrid: less than 2 catches for 19 yds average in those 5 games. Now with BUF not having a legit #2 WR to defense, i expect NE to attempt to take him completely out of the game again, which they have been so successful in. If I could expect even a fair game out of Gonzales, I can make the switch. Whatcha' got, my IND brethren? Bronco Billy
Please excuse the fat-fingered typo in the title.
Bill Swerski
Gonzalez is going to be hit-and-miss as a #3 WR in Indy's offense. They use Dallas Clark (who often moves over to the slot after an audible) way too much for him to be fantasy starter on a regular basis. I imagine that Gonzalez generally will be used more often against weak secondaries (when the Colts use a lot of 3-WR sets, like last week) than against strong ones (like today). Cunning Runt
After yesterday, they need to make him the #2. Marvin's overall skill set has really digressed.
CaptainHook
Marvin was awful yesterday. You have to expect him to start slowing down. Losing a step is not a surprise. It's his lack of effort at times that is really puzzling. He dropped a certain TD yesterday that went right through his hands. He was obviously worried about the safety, who didn't even appear to touch him. Yet Marvin lay on the ground as if he was hurt after the play. The Colts listed his return as questionable with a concussion. But if you watch the replay, he does not get hit at all. And then he's back in on the next series. He also made half-hearted attempts at two other balls. One would have been a spectacular diving catch (like the one he had at Tennessee a few years ago), the other would have been a TD for the old Marv. It WAS underthrown, but there was very little effort to even make a play on the ball. I don't know what's going on with him. He keeps playing like this, the Colts are gonna cut him in the off-season. His cap number is hugh next year.
