This appetizer never fails to hit even though it is pretty simple and easy to make.

1 large French bread

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup chopped parsley

1 pkg cream cheese (8 oz) - (let soften before using)

3/4 cup finely chopped celery

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 Tbs chopped onion

1/4 tsp salt

8 slices deli ham

1 large dill pickle

Split the bread and hollow out with a fork. Spread mayo over the hollows on both sides. Sprinkle parsley on both sides.

Blend the cream cheese, celery, cheddar cheese, onion, and salt. Spoon into the hollow of one half of the bread.

Cut the pickle into four quarters lengthwise. Roll each quarter inside two slices of ham. Place rolls end to end in the empty half of the bread. Bring the two halves together, wrap entire loaf in foil and chill for several hours. Cut into slices and serve.
