tazinib1
Redskins agreed to terms with FS O.J. Atogwe on a five-year, $26 million contract. Among NFL defensive backs, Atogwe's 44 turnovers accounted for rank third in the league over the past five seasons, and second in the NFC. (Only Ed Reed and Charles Woodson have more.) Also familiar with defensive coordinator Jim Haslett's system from their time together in St. Louis, the 30-year-old Atogwe will fit in nicely in D.C. He'll play free safety, with LaRon Landry manning the strong side and continuing to focus on "the box."Source: Jim Thomas on Twitter Well done Mr.Snyder....'bout time you did something right. WashingtonD
Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to ruin it It's a shame the only thing worthwhile about our defense remains our Safeties
Kid Cid
This team is not one or two free agents away from being a contender. This was a bad move. They need to rip it apart and start from the ground up. However, Mr Snyder can't seem to get that concept to register because there is too much ego and not enough intelligence in that pointy little cranium of his. That's why in the NFL "You go play in Washington if you want to get paid".

WashingtonD
If the redskins do nothing but draft Offensive and Defensive Line in the next two drafts we'll be ok in 5 years
Kid Cid
You don't think Shannahan had any say in this? Not as much as people may think. Shanahan has one reason for being is DC, that is to make sure that his kid lands a head coaching gig at some point. No, Bruce Allen is supposed to be the General Manager and he is very, very quiet. This is Snyder's doing all the way. I've been in DC for over 12 years now and I've seen Snyder work his magic on this team. This move reeks of Snyder trying to play puppet master. Stop and think about this. The Skins have hugh problems on both the O-line and D-line, their best WR is ready for his AARP card (Moss), they've just cut their starting RB, they ran a HoF QB out of town to replace him with Rex Grossman, They've still got the Fat Albert debacle hanging over their heads and they go and dump that kind of money on a Safety. Let me ask you this, if you were head coach, would Safety be a priority for you?
Footballjoe
When is enough, enough? Atogwe is a fine player but there are more pressing needs. O-line, D-line, OLB, QB and RB. When is a fan allowed to say "thats it, I will find me a team with an owner who knows how to run an organization."
skylive5
When is a fan allowed to say "thats it, I will find me a team with an owner who knows how to run an organization." Through thick and thin.....through good times and bad..... through good owners and slugs..... if you are a true fan of a team you remain true. While it sometimes takes awhile.....one needs the patience to see it through to a change in ownership and team fortunes. I must admit though.... Snyder as owner means you require a tremendous amount of faith that things will eventually change.

Thats the definiation of faith from off the top of my head if I remember correctly. I guess I lack faith. But still got my sense of humor.
