arnoldg3
I've noticed that Arian Foster was dropped from number one to number three in ppr rankings, on I assume Tates improved situation.Chris Johnson was dropped to number 20 on threat of a holdout. Why have Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, and Adam Vinatieri remained the same despite Mannings situation? I realize that he still might start the season, but the fact that Collins was signed on, and some Colts higher ups expressing pessimism, arent some adjustments in order, however minor? i_am_the_swammi
um....did you consider that the risk of Manning missing games was already baked into the numbers? There was speculation for weeks that Manning might not be ready. BTW...Foster's drop was likely not only based on Tate's ability to give him a breather...but more on the fact that the Raven's stated Rice will no longer come out of games unless he wants to....and AD's use more in the passing game with their new game plan. Both of those players deserve a bump for that. This ain't that hard, arnie.
arnoldg3
If Mannings condition had already been factored in weeks ago, then what you are saying makes perfect sense. It just seems to me that there seemed to be little doubt about this only until recently. With the signing of Collins, and Chris Mortensens report that the Colt braintrust is pessimistic about his starting week one, I would think that a readjustment in rankings would be in order. If this was already done, then I agree.

If this was already done, then I agree. Then you haven't been paying attention. Manning missed much of preseason a couple years ago, and look dreadful his first few games back before getting in sync with his WRs. Same scenario was unfolding for the last several weeks this year, which I am sure was taken into consideration. Further, it could be argued that a healthy starting QB with a few weeks of practice with the team, versus a hurt Manning with no practice, would actually be beneficial to the Colts rankings. Both of those players deserve a bump for that. This is exactly correct. As for the Colts, I downgraded them about a week or two ago from the risk with the intention of bringing them back up when Peyton was cleared to play.
