The Holy Roller
What are the most points ever scored in any of your leagues by an individual or D/ST? Just curious after reading the thread about defensive scoring.

matt770
I remember when Sammy Baugh used to play QB, RB, WR, and kicker, there were several times he scored in excess of 250 points. Dude was amazing, everyone talks about Vick but have you ever seen a QB heave the ball 50 yards in the air, then run downfield and catch it? If only the game today were as easy as simply drafting Baugh.

Then there was the big Otto Graham trade for the draft rights that eventually led to Jim Brown. The Holy Roller
If I could I'd draft JAKE HARLAN, QB for the St. James High School (Missouri) Tigers. In his last game as a Tiger Jake scored 10 TD's (new state record) and had over 700 total yards offense BY HIMSELF! The Tigers still lost, 75-80. Quite the show. Cunning Runt
We tweaked our QB scoring after, but Vinny Testaverde of the Jets in the Monday night game vs. the Dolphins scored 63pts. That game a few years back when Derek Anderson-Browns and Carson Palmer-Bengals were going nuts was crazy too - both of 'em.
DanTheMan_5
2003 CLinton Portis over 200 yards and 5 TD's http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=231207007
Pope Flick
I recall a week 14 1998 game by the dolphins d putting up 42 points in our league. We gave 2 per sack then but it was a destruction unlike I've seen since.

(2 were returned for tds) More recently the Eagles-Panthers game in '09: Eagles D had 5 sacks, forced 7 to's and scored 2tds. Avernus
David Patten of the Patriots had a ridiculous game back in 01 where he had passing/rushing and rec TD's.....my local awarded bonus pts for long TD's and performing out of position (in this case, rushing and throwing for a TD).....he had a ridiculous day for sure... passing 1/1 60 yds TD = 12 pts for the yardage and 12 pts for the TD over 50 yds and performed out of position (24 pts) rushing 1 rush 29 yds TD = 4 pts for rush yds and 10 pts for the TD range of 10-29 yds (14 pts) receiving 4 rec 119 yds 2 TD = 16 pts for rec yds (no ppr, 1pt per 10 rec yds and 5 pt bonus @ 100), 91yd TD results in 9 pts and a 6yd TD which results in 6 pts (31 pts) this was a 69 pt day....the only one that I have known to top that was Culpepper and or Vick....maybe even Brady....but the scoring favored QB's so when a RB or WR did this, it was even more impressive.... I also remember another week 14 game in 1999 where Quadray Ismail had something like 3 TDs and 250+ yards receiving on something stoopid like 2 catches. gbpackersfan
I found the game he was talking about. He had 6-258-3 agaisnt the Steelers in Dec '99.
Pope Flick
Guys, when I said something 'stoopid' and the catches don't make sense that's called sarcasm, not sarchasm. Brian Griese had a stoopid game while starting in Denver... don't recall the year but it was better than the mia nyj stats and held until this year. delusions of grandeur
Vick last year got me 55 points 333/4/0int rushing 80/2. that was a great day. Be nice if he'd do it again tonight. That was a 65 point performance in my local that rewards .25 for carries and .5 for completions... I remember, because I had like a 35-40 point lead going into that MNF game with Maclin going, and he completely erased it before half-time... I remember some pretty solid DEF performances in the past, but can't recall anything like these since we got rid of return yardage for D/STs: Ravens, Baltimore BAL Defvs Jets Sun 8:20 p.m. ETBAL 34, NYJ 17 18.00 3 Defensive/Special Teams TDs2.00 2 Sacked a QB7.30 73 Interception Return Yards6.00 3 Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent)2.00 1 Interceptions7.00 3 Offensive Points Against3.20 32 Opponent Fumble Recovery Yards45.50 Subtotal Lions, Detroit DET Defat Broncos Sun 4:05 p.m. ETDET 45, DEN 10 12.00 2 Defensive/Special Teams TDs7.00 7 Sacked a QB10.00 100 Interception Return Yards4.00 2 Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent)2.00 1 Interceptions5.00 10 Offensive Points Against2.40 24 Opponent Fumble Recovery Yards42.40 Subtotal
