hardingworld
Ok gang, first time poster but I am in need of some serious and urgent help here on making this decision. My buddy is looking to unload Julius Thomas. Right now he and I are flirting with the idea of me giving him Kelvin Benjamin and Eagles D/ST for Thomas, but I honestly can't decide if this is going to help or hurt me in the long run. Both of us are looking to make a splash hoping to save our seasons. Is this even a fair trade? Should I look to snag another player off of him? My thought is for Graham or J. Thomas to take my FLEX spot permanently (loving the fact both are off their BYE), but today's production has me questioning this. Not sweating the Eagles loss as much as the Benjamin loss since I really don't see the Eagles D/ST scoring as much as they have been. Thoughts? I need help! **Standard League** My Team: QBs: Matt Ryan, Brian Hoyer RBs: Eddie Lacy, Jerrick McKinnon, Juwan Thompson, Bobby Rainey, Ryan Mathews (sitting in my IR slot) WRs: Randall Cobb, Kelvin Benjamin, Torrey Smith, Kendall Wright, Brandon LaFell TEs: Jimmy Graham, Jace Amaro D/ST: Eagles, Bills K: Phil Dawson My Buddy's Team: QBs: Drew Brees. Ben Roethlisberger RBs: Le'Veon Bell, Ronnie Hillman, C.J. Spiller, Antone Smith WRs: Roddy White, Mike Wallace, Michael Floyd, Doug Baldwin, Allen Hurns, Eddie Royal TEs: Julius Thomas, Owen Daniels D/ST: Seahawks K: Adam Vinatieri
hardingworld
I should have added, we are also a single player keeper league. Part of me thinks that with this trade I could and would keep Julius Thomas into next season. Lacy was my keeper this year and I am having regrets about not holding Giovanni Bernard instead. risethewake
Absolutely. Julius Thomas is a solid TE, and may vary well be more valuable than graham this season. Outside of tonight's game, hr has scored at least one TD every game. He is a consistent end zone look. Absolutely take him. Safe to say, you are easily getting the better end of this deal. crazyascarl
I'd do it. There are few top TE and add solid as Kelvins been, he's not elite and likely not your keeper. There are enough Ds that losing the eagles isn't too big of a deal. You can stream if you have to. Both Thomas's contract is up at the end of the season so I would see how that pans out before keeping Julius... he's great, but the man throwing to him, and the system, greatly help. risethewake
If you can, consider trading Jace Amaro as well, see if you can get one of his WR's since you will be wearing your wideout slots thin.
hardingworld
Awesome, thanks! To the suggestion of trading Jace Amaro I was actually thinking of tossing him into the fold and seeing if I couldn't snag another player off of my buddy. You guys rock. Appreciate the confidence booster in making this deal.
