RowdyRoos
Team A gets: Allen Robinson Michael Crabtree Jonathan Stewart Team B gets: Odell Beckham Golden Tate Cameron Artis-Payne Should the league be upset about this? I'm the commish and trying to get outsiders opinions Thanks
millworkguy
No, stay out of it, A got a top 7 wr for a top 3 wr and a solid increase in their rb's I see tate > Crabtree, but others could see it the other way. Stewart is a huge improvement over C A-P.
millworkguy
To further the point, your job as commish, isn't to have an opinion (yet). If both sides see the deal as fair, don't look for what you may perceive to be different opinions of value. If a few (3+) people approach you (on their own) and say wtf, ask both parties (if it isn't obvious) why they did the deal, if that doesn't make sense to you, then think about asking the league for their thoughts. Until all of that happens, let the league run itself. You haven't given us the entire rosters of both teams involved, scoring, starting line-up requirements, or scoring details. If i really needed an rb2 type (or if jstew is my now my rb1) yeah, i might pull the trigger on that type of deal. But it doesn't matter what i would do, its not my team, not my money on the line, nor my job to impose my values on someone elses choice for their team. As a commish (or ass't commish ) of 5 leagues, no way to i question that deal. Chances are, the folks (if any) who complain about it at the moment, are 1) upset they didn't get odb, 2) didn't think about making an offer for him 3)made what they thought was a better offer for him Edited July 18, 2016 by millworkguy
RowdyRoos
Thanks Millwork. As a reward for winning Championship bracket or Consolation bracket those 2 teams get to keep 1 extra player drafted in round 10 or later or picked up as a FA. Team B won consolation and keeps 5. Team A keeps 4. Team B gets to keep 5 players this year. His options IMO would have been ODB, Watkins, LeSean McCoy, Golden Tate....and then either Carson Palmer, Kirk Cousins or Rashad Jennings. Now he will have Robinson, Watkins, McCoy, Stewart and Crabtree. It is an 8 team league and I don't think anyone is considering keeping a QB so those can be picked back up in the draft. Team A already had Gurley, David Johnson, Julio and Robinson as his 4 keepers...so for him he can basically parlay Robinson and Stewart for ODB. Those 2 see it as a Win-Win. I thank you also for your insight and advice on the role as a commish.
