  1. I agree about Bush if McFadden is out. I like Moss on Monday night - new team, something to prove, Favre finally has a #1 WR. Lot of potential there. TO put up those numbers 1x - against the Browns - so I'd like to see it happen again before I start him above Moss.
  2. Hard to bench Orton with his performance YTD. No signs of life in his running game, but TItans pass D is solid. Ryan has been consistent but not spectactular and going against YTD weak SF D. Appreciate any insight.
  3. I would go with Ryan at QB. Hard to say the flex spot w/o knowing your scoring system. I would probably go Naanee. Moore could be an aberration, plus I'm always hesitant to play NO receivers b/c the ball gets spread around so much. Then again if you start the right WR, you hit big. I don't expect much out of Williams. Just my opinion - hope it helps.
  4. I like Benson. Many more touches than Brown. The trade you mention seems solid on your end. No need for Hightower after the trade (especially not w/ Beanie coming back) & Nicks is your 4th WR. What is the need of the other team? RB, WR, both? Thanks for response to my post. SMF
  5. 10 team keeper league, scoring in my signature. My roster: QB: Platooning Orton & M Ryan RB1: Arian Foster RB2: Jamaal Charles WR1: Andre Johnson WR2: B Marshall TE: T Gonzalez D: PHI I've been offered Turner for Johnson, straight up. I'm hesitant on Turner for three reasons: (1) already have two Falcons (2) groin injury (3) rbbc potential w/ Snelling Turner is a huge upgrade on Charles numbers YTD. Appreciate the response.
  6. In general I'm not high on Palmer (or the Bengals) but I'm from Cleveland so a little bias there. I agree with 85 though. Palmer is a top 10 QB when healthy. You're good to go with what you've got.
  7. Appreciate the feedback. For whatever reason I hadn't even thought to look at the stats from their meeting last year. Thx all for the insight. SMF
  8. Benson against DEN and Johnson against PIT. Have to think Benson will put up more points? Appreciate any insight.
  9. I think LT is looking at a great year, but not the numbers he had 2 - 3 years ago. Still a top back, but more risk to get there - I'll take Forte all day if I have the option between the two.
  10. Follow-up to Caveman_Nick - I agree "More Competitive" was a bad phrase to use. Your interpretation was correct - I think it would make the fielded player pool deeper. Thus rewarding the owner who chooses the best RB3 / WR3 with a potentially not so insignificant increase in scoring. The goal isn't to have tighter standings - the goal is to reward the owner(s) who make the best personnel decisions. If it results in tighter standings thats great - but not the intention. The competitiveness would be from owners wanting an edge and adding the position would give us one more roster spot to build a competitive advantage against our opponents. Hope that helps? BTW - great point about an even number of roster spots. I def need to add another roster spot somewhere. Thanks everyone for the thoughts. SMF
  11. So my league hasn't drafted yet, but we're set to draft in a few days. We're discussing adding a RB / WR flex position. The league setup is below - rationale is adding the flex position will make the league more competitive. I wanted to hear some thoughts on whether or not this would be the case. Personally I think it is a good idea, mainly b/c of the league size. The league has never had only 8 teams before, so I'm a little concerned the teams will all be pretty stacked. Current setup - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1TE, 1 K, 1 Def. Non PPR league with 8 teams. QB weighted scoring (6 pt /TD pass). Appreciate any thoughts. SMF
  12. Rhino - this sheet is great. First time I've come across it - very nicely done. Wish I would have had this the last few years. I have a question I was hoping to hear some thoughts on, regarding the weights applied to each projection (on the position tabs, like 'QB', 'RB', etc...). I've never paid much attention to projections from anywhere but theHuddle so I have no idea how they stack up to each other. I'm sure some are better than others - so what I'm looking for is a little direction on the weights. Can anyone recommend a weight for each? Appreciate any info. - SMF
  13. Thanks for the response Chloroform Rx. This was my first post and I posted prior to reading the posting advice section, my bad. So wondering WDIS at QB - options are Jeff Garcia vs SEA, Matt Cassel vs DEN or Gus Frerotte vs MIN. Leaning away from Cassel b/c I think he is just too unreliable. I feel like I can get 200 yds and a score from JG or GF, looking for thoughts. Appreicate it - - smf
  14. So I've been scrambling this year ever since Brady was hurt in week one, and I've got three sub par QB to choose from this week. This league has only one QB. Choices are Cassel, J Garcia or Frerotte. Cassel had a horrible week last week and most of the year so far. Garcia and Frerotte, well they're Garcia and Frerotte. Each have favorable matchups, but looking for some insights. Thanks - - smf
