  1. I agree with your assesment of the other WR(Johnson and Jennings). However that being said, I think your discredting just how good fitz is. IT does not matter who his QB is. He is that good. The guy had 1400 and 8 last year with no one. Would a good QB help him? Absolutely, however talent at that position would not deter me from taking him. He is every bit as good as anyone else in the league. If he was on the lions, he would have no problem putting up CJ numbers. I would NOT trust jordy nelson. There are far too many options on that team, and his chances of repeating last years success is highly unlikey. As for AJ I think he will be a beast. But remember, he is the Only receiving threat on that team, sure to see plenty of double teams so there is some risk involved as well. In short - I'd go with Fitz. He is IMO one of if not the most consistent WR in the league.
  2. Any one else have any opinions/suggestions for my squad?
  3. Britt is a beast dude. Do not deal him. He does not get enough credit. He has also never played with a consistent good qb. I think with locker he has the potential to do big things. I am very high on Locker. I watched this guy play last year (albeit in limited action). IMO he was VERY impressive. I think people are going to be surprised with him...Also, Jahvid best (who i also like) will be out for a while with the concussion issue. You need to find a suitable replacement for him. stash him on the bench and hope he comes back. He is a dual threat, IF healthy...
  4. Here is what I think. Lynch I do not trust even off last year so picking up Rice is a MAJOR plus. Reggie can be okay, but he is injury prone. no problem there. AJ could be a monster so you might miss him, but he can also just be good (similar numbers to last year, as they have no other threats, and he will get doubled). Finley I like, but the problem in GB is too many targets and it is hard to be consistent. But you may regret giving him up. Desean I think Has a major bounce back. I like that pickup. Garcon and gresham could go either way so that remains to be seen if it hurts or not. All in all I think completely fair deal
  5. Thanks for the feedback. Yes I know there are injury risks for sure, but if healthy I think both RB's are a steal. In a down year for RB I think it could be a major advantage for myself. Most teams second RB's are pretty bad comparatively. So I'm pretty happy. Again, If they stay healthy. Also, I think wallace is a beast. I do not care about all the Antonio Brown hype, Wallace to me is easily the better receiver.
  6. Everyone says Run DMC is gonna get hurt etc etc. Personally I have him as well. And of course it is a risk, but IF he stays healthy he can easily produce at a level as any of the other top 3 players (Rice, MCcoy, and Foster) IMHO. He is just as good, and a better value where he usually gets drafted. Again, if healthy
  7. Please see below. Other teams in my league may have have a better player or two. That being said top to bottom(including bench) I think mine is the best all around team hands down. League is Standard 12 team. To save some space, scoring is typical yahoo except passing td's worth 6 pts. Just wanted to get some opinions on the roster. Thanks in advance... My Team QB P. Rivers RB D. McFadden RB Fred Jackson WR L. Fitzgerald WR M. Wallace WR S. Johnson TE F. Davis K N. Kaeding DEF Detroit BN K. Britt BN B. Green-Ellis BN M. Schaub BN D. Wilson BN D. Hester
  8. lol. I know you can't have a dead set strategy. It all depends on the league, scoring, how they draft etc. Just meant maybe some of you have a general rule of thumb. I just did a mock with mine, and even though it was 14 teams, my roster still came out killer. As for drafting a QB in the 1st, Rodgers will never last til late first round. Most drafts i've been in the last few years, teams that took the Q early never won squat. I'm pretty dead set on never taking a QB in the first. I think in a year where RB is in decline, if you can get a nice RB1 coupled with say a fred jackson or someone similar, that is a major advantage IMO. To me, I'd rather have a nice RB/Wr combo and pick up a Romo then draft Rodgers with a mediocre rb/wr tandem. Just my opinion
  9. Hey all, Just wanted to get a gauge on how you would typically draft, round by round. I think this year is a lot tougher than those in the past, due to a major scarcity at RB. As for Myself I refuse to draft a QB first round, so I don't leave myself a major void at rb/wr. Also there are a surplus of very good Qb's to fil in later rounds IMO. Curious to hear everyones strategy as i'm having a tough time deciding on an approach for my upcoming draft tuesday... Thanks in advance for any feedback!
  10. The debate is Matthews vs Jackie Battle, if Matthews winds up playing. I need a win this week and i know Battle is probably the safer bet. But if Matthews goes who has the higher ceiling?
  11. LMAO! I have a bad feeling about this week with these injuries, being @ NE and them coming off a loss. This does not look good, but stranger things have happened.
  12. Tough call with the inconsistency of Austin. Not that Manningham has done much by any means, but don't forget Nicks is out, and he's playing the Pats D.
  13. Actually he didn't, sadly. He should have, but His 7 sacks and 2 picks assured me otherwise
  14. I'd go with Hernandez. As a giant fan, I see them every week, and trust me our D cannot stop anyone right now. The reason a tight end hasn't had a big game against us, is because we haven't played any good ones. The only problem I see is NE has 2 TE that can dominate us. So which one gets the red zone targets is the only hesitation i'd have. Baldwin has a good matchup, but is 1 week enough to sell you on him? Big risk/reward, but Bowe is the teams go to receiver and that isn't going to change. Austin has a great matchup but has simply been way too inconsistent
  15. Thanks for the help guys. I doubt he will force it through as the other team would have no QB to play and would most likely complain about it, understandably. I'l have to go with Cassel.
