I am in a 10 team PPR draft with a slightly different starting lineup. Due to COVID, we changed our starting lineup settings a few years ago to allow for more flexibility. Each week we start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 Flex, 1 TE, 1 Def, 1 Kicker and we have 6 bench spots with 1 IR spot. This allows me to potentially start just 1 RB and 4 WRs on a weekly basis.
My question is more about what do in rounds 2-5. I am going to go WR at pick 4 overall (hopefully Justin Jefferson if he is still there or Cooper Kupp). Then in the last 2nd, I am struggling on what I want to do? I am big on CeeDee Lamb this year so if he is there, I am going to couple him up with Justin Jefferson for my WR1/WR2 combo. Then in some mocks I have actually went TE early 3rd if Kelce or Andrews is still there (I could see TE dropping in my league, but we shall see). That puts me at Jefferson/Lamb/Kelce or Andrews, but no RB yet. Would you do that if the draft falls that way? In that particular mock I had to settle with Breece Hall, JK Dobbin as my top 2 RBs then tried to load up on depth with AJ Dillon, James Cook, Michael Carter.
Other mocks I have done, I have selected Justin Jefferson number 4 overall and then came back with something like Leonard Fournette in the late second or James Connor in the early 3rd. Than I have Justin Jefferson with somebody like CeeDee Lamb/Mike Evans/Deebo/Tyreek Hill with a RB (Fournette/Connor). Trying to figure out what strategy I want to go into the draft with (of course will probably change once I see how the draft unfolds).
