  1. Won in my league by .2! 1st round win! Made it to the money rounds!!! Made obligatory taunting texts to opponent!!! Dropped a K, picked up another... tied up another WR so my opponent cannot grab him... then... Wed NFL changes KC sack to Tackle for loss... scoring adjustment takes me out of playoffs... Swear words uttered (OK...maybe shouted).... Had to endure several texts/tweets from league mates and now winning opponent... depression sets in... This is the life of a FF owner in Dec... thought I would share.
  2. you could see that Zimmer and Flip did not agree on play calling... and when Flip would run it almost was like he was caving in to Zimmer's wishes... neither guy was happy I think (again this is my opinion) but the main problem is the Oline and that is on our GM in my opinion (again). We just are getting crushed up front and QBs and OCs are not helping those guys out with better play and play calling... the disaster is more than Flip but hopefully the conflict is gone and they can finish this season better.
  3. This is so SIMPLE... don't use the site if you don't feel like you get value... trust your "gut"... trends and analysis be damned... That's your right as a FF team owner. in fact your job as owner is to decide when your gut is right and when you need to trust the guys you pay for their opinions... Me? I like to win and get paid so in my long time membership with the huddle I have done more winning and getting paid using this information than my league mates that do not... I am not a blind faith follower of the rankings but I use their info weekly to help me decide on 50/50 calls all the time. Good luck without the help. Sorry to sound harsh but if you expecting 100% accuracy on a projection you are either delusional or just stupid. If the experts could be 100% sure they would be cleaning up in Vegas weekly (and probably killed by the mob for ruining their sports betting industry). They offer an educated opinion, you can either take their advice (good and bad... sometimes) or save your money and just give it to a guy like me at the end of the season... 4 out of 5 years.
  4. Bills over MN Wash over GB... OK you could sub in CLE over NYJ here too... Det over NE on a $100 bet I guess you could have cleared a bundle with a parlay bet like that! The NFL is a crazy place sometimes.
  5. He was not happy about drafting a K in the 5th round at all... he was even more concerned that he traded UP to get him and not addressing OL depth... then they gave the kid the job after a full competition that only had him kicking in games... once he was awarded job he missed 2 kicks in 1st Pre season game as FT kicker. After GB fiasco, Vikes cut Carlson and Zimmer was asked how they came to the decision to release him? In typical Mike fashion... "Did you see the game?" in his dead pan glare... follow up ? was... "Was that a hard decision?" Mike says "No." and looks to another reporter... I guess we are moving on here...
  6. There is a guy that understands he is getting paid to play a game... have fun with it. I love that Desean laughed about it too.
  7. week 2 up big to a team that sux hot day with guys cramping up... no brainer...let the guy sit BTW the Rams look good.
  8. I am a MN homer and that call was bad... to be fair the same call was made on MN hit on Rodgers earlier in the game but both were equally pathetic. Only theirs cost them the game... or half a game or whatever you lose or win in a tie??????
  9. Damn I remember those days... Back when a couple of good RBs and you ruled the world... LT and Edge were so fn good... before most leagues were PPR for WR so they were a dime a dozen... TEs were just becoming monsters... Tony G and A Gates... Back when I thought a $50 league was a big money league... Fun times
  10. Unfortunately A Brown is out, D Adams got his 2nd Concussion of the year, and Zeke will be back so I cannot use Morris... (3 starters from a thin bench needed...) I have a chip and a chair at least but without top 2 WR this could be tough... Injury bug did not hit me too badly (by comparison) most of the year so I guess I was due.
  11. I agree but it seems they utilize this rule more and more... they take the stance that a receiver can fumble the ball if he has possession and 2 feet down and makes a "football move"... Like reaching for end zone??? or change of direction??? or avoiding contact??? hmmm when does it apply and when does it not? the rule is too vague as to when it applies so they apply it whenever they want, that is the issue.

    lmao @ PIT

The rule is the issue, we have seen this many times now that "when is a catch complete to the ground"... This rule is so broad as to when it is used or applied... I argue they apply this rule way too often. The catch in this play and "The Dez play" for example had a catch/control in playing field... then the player then made a "football move" to reach for the goal... again with control... There at that point the breaking the plane rule should be in effect. Now, that is not how the NFL rules this stuff (which is the problem IMO) but to argue that is not a catch when we see catch and a move to score I think that speaks for itself. NFL needs to address this as this is a regular occurrence lately... For the record I hate both Brady (pure jealousy I guess) and RaperBurger (POS) so I really didn't want either to win.
  13. OK not a fan of Pit or Raperburger but when is the NFL gonna fix this surviving the ground contact BS? A guy has the ball has legal contact in the field of play stretches for the goal and then we have him slam into the ground... now if he would NOT of had to change directions and make a play for the goal line then I could maybe see the relevance of the rule (alah Dez B a few years ago... another guy who is not in my favs, but got screwed) but there is so much crap at the goal line already. If a runner jumps and sticks the ball out then gets hit just as he crosses the line its a touchdown not a fumble but in the case of a catch you add additional requirements in that he must meet the ground contact. Just seems like lawyers are ruining the game and this is getting stupid. Now the interpretation of the rule as it stands was correct but the whole thing is stupid and needs to be addressed. Where is the common sense?
