Guest Cherni
What a game. 22 year old throwing a no hitter in the middle of the WC race. First no hitter since 2002. Good job Anibal. Boston fans are doing a little bit of this right now, nice trade.
forever in debt to mo lewis
What a game. 22 year old throwing a no hitter in the middle of the WC race. First no hitter since 2002. Good job Anibal. Boston fans are doing a little bit of this right now, nice trade. the trade was a good fit for both teams...it was classic marlins...and the red sox got major league veterans ready to contribute to a team that is expected to compete year in and year out...and the marlins got another injection of youth with a friendly price tag...i know anibal looked real good at yankee stadium in the 2nd half of a double header in front of about 6 or 7 thousand...but theres no telling how he responds when yankee stadium is rockin with 55 thousand...hanley looks real good too....but so does edgar renteria over in the national league..thats just what edgar is...a good national league ball player....couldnt handle boston...the american and national leagues are different beasts
Donutrun Jellies
Announced attendance was 12,561, but the actual crowd was perhaps half that. The surprising Marlins are last in the major leagues in attendance even though they began the night only three games behind San Diego in the NL wild-card standings. -- sports illustratrated online Only 6,000 to 7,000 people saw it? As they fight for the playoffs? Reminds me of the dismal end of the Montreal Expos ... Kudos to Anibal!
