Banner Ad Problem

There's a Toyota ad that, if I mistakenly run the mouse over it, will expand to 3x it's size and begin playing a video complete with nicely loud sound.

 

Seriously. I am not the kind that complains about banner ads and have more than once voiced the opinion that the site owners need to make some money off of doing this stuff. I support the presence of advertising save when whatever ad is running makes the site unbearably slow (happens sometimes and makes me retreat to firefox). But that kind of banner ad is not acceptable to me.

 

JMO, but the folks that run this site need to set some boundaries with the service that provides the banner ads. Ads that run functions, code, executables, audio and video are just not acceptable.

 

I hope DMD, WW, and/or whomever else bears responsibility can keep that kind of content off the boards.
