Antonio Chatman, Nick Collins and Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila and all left with injuries of varying severity, with a neck strain suffered in the second quarter by Chatman appearing to be the most serious.

The third year return specialist-wide receiver was taken off on a stretcher after being drilled by New England safety Rodney Harrison following a Brett Favre interception. Chatman remained prone for nearly 15 minutes while being attended to by Packers trainers and reported tingling in his extremities, but Chatman did have full motion in both his arms and legs.

"I was just trying to make the tackle and I just remember Harrison hitting me. That's all I remember," Chatman said. "When I got hit I didn't feel nothing. I just blacked out for a second. It took me a minute to come to. But once I came to I knew what had happened. He had hit me in the back of my neck. I couldn't feel my hands for a second but the tingling went away."

X-rays proved negative, and he was replaced on punt returns by rookie Craig Bragg. Chatman eventually returned to the sideline, where he watched the latter portion of the game.

Collins, who got his third consecutive exhibition start at free safety, left later in the quarter after suffering a left thigh bruise while trying to bring down the Patriots' Kevin Faulk. He eventually returned to the game.

Gbaja-Biamila left with a neck stinger on the third play of the third quarter that he suffered while trying to bring down Corey Dillon, New England's 225-pound starting running back. Gbaja-Biamila, the Packers' starting right defensive end, has had problems with stingers in the past, including earlier in training camp.

Other Packer injuries of note were to wide receiver Javon Walker, who left on the same series as Chatman with a dislocated finger, linebacker Paris Lenon, who suffered a sprained right wrist in the third quarter, and running back Najeh Davenport, who injured his knee.

Both Lenon and Davenport returned to the game. Walker indicated afterward that had it been a regular-season game, he would have returned as well.
