msaint
Just want to get a consensus here. Help me win my playoff pool and I'll buy a new lava lamp for the Huddle's clubhouse. Scoring: 7pt/pass TD, 10pt/rush TD, 1pt/10ydrush-rec, 30ydpass;+7 bonus for TD over 30yds. Everyone's going to load up on Colts and Hawks, and I have to as well, to an extent, but might the best strategy be to pick a team that has a chance for an unlikely SB run like BAL in 2000 and TENN in 1999 (e.g. PITT, CAR, TB?...and even DEN seems to be forgotten in the AFC vs. INDY, NE)? Here's what I'm thinking, a mix of WW's rankings, players likely to go farther and players likely to have one/two big games.... 4 QB’s: Peyton, Hass, Brady, Carson....considered Delhomme, Plummer...wildcard: might Leftwich put up big #'s in (potential) defeat? 5 RB’s: Edge, Alexander, M.Anderson, Cadillac, Tiki....considered Portis, T.Jones, Willie 5 WR’s: Marvin, Reggie, DJax, S.Smith, Chad.....considered R.Smith, Galloway, Branch, Ward 3 TE’s: SHockey, Stevens, Clark....Watson 3 K: VJagt, J.Brown, Vinatieri....considered Elam, Gould 3 D/ST: Colts, 'Hawks, Broncos...Pats, Bears So...WWYDHD (what would you drunken huddlers do)? msaint
fwiw, here's what i went with in the end. took some usual suspects (hawks, colts), but roled the dice with some unlikely playoff runs (bucs, bengals) that many might not go with. 4 QB’s: Peyton, Brady, Hass, Carson 5 RBs: Alexander, Edge, Dillon, Rudi, Cadillac 5 WR’s: Marvin, Wayne, DJax, Chad, Galloway 3 TE’s: Shockey, Stevens, Clark 3 K ‘s: VJagt, J.Brown, S. Graham 3 D’s: IND, SEA, CHI
Men In Tights
I see it is too late, and I am crazy, but I like the two brothers to meet in the Super Bowl. Eli vs. Peyton Mark it down.
