How much would you pay (auction draft) for top RB?

If you're in a league that re-auctions every year, you should NOT go for depth if you want to win the SB that year. Field the best starting lineup you can, period. IMO, there is no benefit to waiting on QBs to spend $5 on each of the #10, #11 and #12 QBs in your league ... I'd rather spend $13 on the #9 guy and $1 on both of the #20 and #21 guys.

Dynasty-ish leagues are a different story ... you have to have SOME depth in those for long-term competitive structures.

Guess that depends on how lucky you feel. If you think you can get away with bigger bids on a smaller # of studs and they will perform as expected, not get hurt, etc then yeah, spend away and fill your roster with $1 backups. But that strat could very easily bite you in the yatabay.

I guess I try to sort of go somewhere between that strat and the total balance/"platoon" strat. ie get a few top talents, but not at the expense of having nothing left for depth and grabbing a buncha scrubs.
