Disbelieving Lions Fan
In my league there is an ongoing debate over yardage threasholds (For receiving or rushing yards not passing, but I would like to make sure we handle passing appropriately too). The league is split into different factions and currently the different options for yardage are such: 1) Eliminate all thresholds 2) Make two 50 yd thresholds - one for receiving and another for rushing 3) Have a 50 yd threshold for combined rushing/receiving yards. I don't particularly like any of these options. What I really would like to be able to do is to quantify yardage (receiving, rushing & passing) for fantasy football purposes in a way relates to scoring in an actual NFL game. Question: A guy who scores a TD gets 6 pts, a exta pt 1 pt, a fieldgoal 3 pts, a safety 2. What should ten yds receiving, rushing, or passing be worth? Has anyone actually gone nerd and tried to figure this out statistically? Any theories?

Some guys in the league want to set a threshhold for points, whereby a RB or WR needs to get at least 50 yards to score any points. I am not sure I like it.
