CardinalEmpire.com
but check the matchups in this one. With Marc Bulger making the comments he did to the media and playing about as bad as he has ever played in St. Louis, Holt has been an enigma down the stretch and a huge hit or miss play. Getting ready to face a Chicago D that has to pitch shutouts just to make up for their own sorry QB, I have little confidence in STL making big plays through the air Monday night. Furrey, meanwhile, draws a Minnesota secondary that continues to be one of the worst in the entire NFL. With the Vikes probably realizing their season is done and maybe without the services of Chester Taylor, would it be at all wise to go ahead and give Furrey a try this week? He's getting the looks (6+ receptions in the last three weeks, a dozen "targets" in each of the last two weeks) and very well could have a big day with or without Roy Williams having one of his own. If this is a totally insane line of thought, please talk me off the ledge.
onionring9
I did the same thing with Chad Johnson the week he blew up. Thought to myself, self, Chad Johnson is going against a great D, my backup has an easy day, bench Chad. Chad sat out that week and next thing I know Chad is at 200+ yds with a couple TD's. Lesson learnt, bench a stud and he will go off
