keldog15 Posted December 23, 2006 Share Posted December 23, 2006 Ok about the teams that have clinched playoff berths., will they continue to play their starters or will backups get more time? i.e. Brees, LT, Manning, etc etc... It seems silly to me for them to chance an injury, but at the same time they obviously dont want to just give the game away either. joeyb7 Posted December 23, 2006 Share Posted December 23, 2006 While it's usually a time to showcase rookies, etc., I think that you can usually expect the #1 to get a TD or at least put up respectable numbers before those will little or no experience enter the game. I think as far as Fantasy goes, a good #2 receiver or backup RB that has shown some promise COULD be better than playing the starter, but, again, it depends on the matchup.
