Portis has looked solid so far this year and has been avoiding the lingering (and always present) injury bug. So Betts hasn't really had to step up that much. Plus like was mentioned, Campbell is actually fairly good scrambling and can get the ball downfield (not to Moss... apparently he likes to drop balls) but to Cooley, McCardell and Randle El. Well, so far it is looking like that is the case. But after Sunday's game any RB might have tough sledding with the O-line injuries WAS has. That would be if it weren't for Campbell forcing teams to play at least 7 DBs every down against the 'Skins, that is. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I actually heard Mort say this week in his pro football radio show that he still doesn't understand to this day why Campbell wasn't considered the 1st pick in the draft instead of Alex Smith. Mort?
