muck Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 To me, the only way the tax hike on carried interest is actually fair is if the tax laws are changed to require anyone with "founders shares" or "management shares" (which would include all employee stock options) to pay a higher rate on that stuff, too ... not just on the carried interest compensation paid to hedge fund and private equity fund managers.
