i_am_the_swammi
In one of my local leagues, I am all but guaranteed a playoff miss. Thus, I tossed out there the idea that I would be willing to trade some players to better my draft position next year. This is a 3-player keeper league (1 QB/RB/WR), so it definitley has some bearing on whether to do this deal: I give up Addai, McNair, Fred Taylor and my 4th next year for Maroney, Derek Anderson, Marvin Harrison and his 1st. Next fall, I'd get my own pick (probably 4th-5th) and his 1st (probably 6th-7th).... now granted, our draft is semi-watered down, since there are 10 RBs kept every year, but I'd go into the draft with either KJ or Maroney as my keeper, and the ability to pick two of the next best 7, to go along with Palmer as my QB, and Boldin as my WR. On the flip side, I hate giving up Addai. and part of me says just start over with Addai, Palmer and Boldin next year... I am not totally eliminated just yet, but close (2 games back, four to play)...this trade would make me a stronger team this year, since we start two QBs, and Anderson would be solid in the #2 spot. Should I make the trade for two #1s next year?
xtra
I would stick with Addai.
Avernus
I think Addai will finish #3 overall at RB and will end up with even higher trade value right before the draft... that's if you don't want to keep him... Boldin is someone I'd reconsider keeping....and Derek Anderson will likely play for another team and I am still not sold on him for whatever reason... anyways I liek Addai a lot and wouldn't do this.....I'd hold out hope for drafting a more solid team around Addai next season...
