Kid Cid
Box office at the venue, every time. Agree. That's the only place you'll ever be guaranteed to pay face value for the tickets. Ticketmaster charges a buttload of additional fees in their profit mongering ways. eBay and ticket brokering services are all about trying to get market value which can be a lot more than what you're willing to pay but is considered what the "average" going price for the tickets are. chester
If you're forced to do the ticketmaster thing, try livenation.com. It's the same thing as ticketmaster so you'll still pay the outragous fees, but few people know about it so you usually get better tickets. The Shiekette and I just bought some tickets for a theater production that we're sure will be sold out. This is the first time we've ever bought tickets just for the purpose of flipping them at a profit. Looking into StubHub as an option, we were pretty shocked at their business practices. It's just theft. They charge something like 15% to the buyer and 10% to the seller on the same tickets (or vice versa, can't remember). Either way it's flat out grift.
