Guest Chappy
Yesterday driving home from work, I ran over a pot pot hole and when I got home noticed that even though my tire was still inflated I had a small bubble in the side wall of the tire. My first thought is that I need to get a new tire as I fear the bubble creates a greater chance for me to have blow-out. Is that true or am I over-reacting? tbimm
Yes if the sidewall has a bubble on it you need a new tire.

Kid Cid
Listen to tbimm. You can fix tires if they have a puncture in the tread area, but any damage to the sidewall means the tire is toast and should be replaced as soon as possible. I knew that if I got a nail/screw in the tread area that it could be patched or plugged and I had a bad feeling about any damage to the sidewall as I knew it couldn't be fixed. I didn't think driving on it would be recommended but wanted to hear it from someone who was more of an expert than me and wasn't necessarily trying to screw me over.
