gregsanders
team 1 is 2-6, and all but out of the playoffs completely.. there is really no question he is not going to make the playoffs... his lineup is... QB JaMarcus Russell(Oak - QB) WR Torry Holt(StL - WR) WR Hank Baskett(Phi - WR) WR Joey Galloway(TB - WR) RB Clinton Portis(Was - RB) RB Chris Johnson(Ten - RB) TE Dallas Clark(Ind - TE) BN Brandon Marshall(Den - WR) BN Brandon Stokley(Den - WR) BN Fred Taylor(Jac - RB) BN Matt Hasselbeck(Sea - QB) BN Marshawn Lynch(Buf - RB) K Joe Nedney(SF - K) DEF Washington(Was - DEF) Buffalo(Buf - DEF) WHAT HE IS TRADING PORTIS AND MARSHALL team 2 is 5-3.. borderline playoff team.. probably needs to make a move to be in the playoffs with its remaining schedule... his lineup is QB Eli Manning(NYG - QB) WR Antonio Bryant(TB - WR) WR Derrick Mason(Bal - WR) WR Vincent Jackson(SD - WR) RB Maurice Jones-Drew(Jac - RB) RB LaDainian Tomlinson(SD - RB) TE Jason Witten(Dal - TE) BN Anthony Gonzalez(Ind - WR) BN Tim Hightower(Ari - RB) BN DeAngelo Williams(Car - RB) BN Derek Anderson(Cle - QB) BN Sammy Morris(NE - RB) BN Marcedes Lewis(Jac - TE) K Robbie Gould(Chi - K) DEF Chicago (Chi - DEF) WHAT HE IS TRADING Derek Anderson, Vincent Jackson, Antonio Bryant, DeAngelo Williams I personally think this is collusion... team 1 is not going to make the playoffs, but is trading 2 of the best players at their respective position. derek anderson is likely to be replaced by quin vincent jackson's numbers will decrease with chambers coming back antonio bryant will likely see a decrease in numbers with galloway out there again deangelo williams has played solid, but wont even start on team 1... both teams swear no collusion, but I have an extremely hard time understanding how it isn't either collusion or the worst trade i've seen... in addition, another member in the league offered team 1.... big ben, terrel owens, and ryan grant FOR marshall and portis... and team 1 declined that in favor of the trade posted..... PLEASE GIVE AN OPINION
dino88
when first reading this i thought the guy just found a sucker, but given the fact that he turned down a better deal from someone else this definitely seems suspicious. ben or d.anderson...absolutely no comparison t.o. is worth more than jackson and bryant combined and grant has much more upside over d.williams, esp. when grant isn't competing with anyone else for carries. it smells pretty bad, is there anything you can do besides put in your veto? try to contact the other ppl in your league before the trade goes through. gregsanders
yeah i have the commissioners option to veto. by the way, its a $600 league... i dont want to veto because its a league full of friends, but it seems too absurd, especially considering what he has turned down... plus, team1 isnt going to make the playoffs.. so trading his 2 best players for nothing special seems weird too.............. including 2 of those players he would be getting are on a bye this week, when he might not even make the playoffs if he wins out..... theprofessor
I thought I already answered this? Team 1 IMO has the better team on paper. This trade does appear though to be one sided and has a faint smell of collusion. Do some due diligence before denying the trade. Talk to other owners in your league. I don't normally think trades should be denied.
jarhead
this is a setup for sure....esp bcuz he denied the better trade for this one these guys need to be called on the carpet and if they don't want to admit it then U have no choice but to veto the trade!!!
