tazinib1
If you know how to manipulate the cursor with your keyboard, get into System Restore and restore it to the last previous save.

rocknrobn26
This looks ugly. Re-boot go to safe mode. The mouse should work. Do a restore. Using the "Tab/Enter" key usually works if the mouse doesn't. Report back. EF: Is this a Wireless mouse or wired? If wireless, get a wired mouse. Double Agent
System restore in safe mode is your first option. That should fix it.
tazinib1
how do you do that? Get to your desktop and use the tab key until you hit START. Click Enter then using your arrow keys, go to the Control Panel. Click Enter. Tab or Arrow until you get to Help/Customer Support. Hit Enter. Tab or arrow until you get to System Restore. Click Enter. Your in. Start System Restore at previous save spot. This will undo anything you did before. Hope it works.

caddyman
status? All...Thanks for your help. I was stumped for days. It was a joy to take my kids old Dell with Windows 2000 and try to sort out my problems. What I ended up doing was booting up from my restore disk. That got me 95% of the way there. However, no matter what I did, I could not install ANY explorer browser. What was my fix? FIREFOX of course. Even though I tired to have my wife send me the Firefox file, my email would not receive it. She brought home the exe file on a disk and in less than 3 minutes I was up and browsing. Faster and more efficient than ever. Goodbye forever explorer!
