darin3
There was a setting you should have clicked on that would have only downloaded new messages. After installing it? I installed, opened, and it automatically started downloading these sent messages.
kpholmes
Just came across this little gem. Allows you to run your GMail accounts' interface within Thunderbird. I've spent half an hour or so playing with it, I really like it.
rocknrobn26
Had to revive this thread. Thunderbird is really, REALLY cool!! And the Lightning add-on is even cooler! I even got my wife to use it! Now we can coordinate calendars. Why anyone would just live w/ Comcast, Yahoo, Gmail defaults is beyond me. Dive in! 2 questions for the more informed: How do you reset the default time for events? How do you globally say that all emails can go out HTML, w/o going thru the popup? Bottom line...GET Thunderbird and Lightning! Blows Outlook out of the water. Love the event feature that sends out an email. Admit there is a learning curve, but it is short. Thank you twiley, and the rest of you that recc'd it!
smithkt
I don't know the answer to the first question, but for the outgoing format go to Tools > Options > Composition. Click the Send Options button. Change the drop down from Ask me to whatever option you prefer. It will no longer prompt you.

Still can't figure out #1, as it seems to have something to do w/ when I install it.
