Eagles Fan
There are some similarities to the circumstances of Phila signing TO and Lindros. I was a bit younger so I do not remember all the details but I believe that there was a ruling in the case to bring Lindros to Phila. Lindros was a good player (points per game considered only) that brought quite a bit of promise but never the cup.
Hugh 0ne
And everyone in Quebec (I think it was the Nordiques that drafted him, although I'd have to look it up to be certain) wore pacifiers when Lindros came to play them for the first time. LegFuJohnson
There was a controversy, I guess the Rangers thought they had traded for him. Rangers fans were going crazy, looking at the dynasty they were going to build. Of course, they hadn't won anything since 1940 (at that point)... but that didn't stop them. Now Lindros' former team has a couple cups, and that's the only silver lining if the Flyers win one as well. Not enough bad things can happen to him. Now, I don't think this is exactly the TO thing. Lindros was more like a LeBron James. Rookie with all the hype, but nothing proven. I don't mean to insult LeBron like that though. Have I mentioned that I hate Lindros? Good to see he can watch the playoffs on TV again (unless he gets another concussion brushing his hair).
