Wireless network question

Got a laptop from work today. I have never been on a wireless network. My work truck is equipped with a wireless hook-up so I can hook up through my truck.

When I first booted up the laptop today, it was able to recognize the router in my truck. I mis-typed the password, and since then the laptop has not recognized that wireless port.

Any ideas on what to do?

Did you try to reset the router? That should set it back factory specs.

EF:

I assume you have a wifi connected to the router, correct?

What's the brand and model # of the wireless devices, not the LT?

Yes on the wifi question.

I'll have to get back to you about the brand names. Give me a few minutes.

It's this one.

It looks like a router/wifi combo. I tried to get an online manual to no avail, their site locked on me 4 times. Sorry, but if you can't find a reset button on the system, you may have to call tech support! :D

Wish I could help more, but try this:

Yeah, I did the same. :D

I looked all around that thing and there doesn't appear to be an on/off button, or reset button. There is a power connector on the back, but it's hard to see and I'm not sure I want to start unplugging stuff.

It's not a big deal: was just hoping to play around on it this weekend to get a feel for the laptop. Our IT guy can figure it out Monday.

Thanks for checking.

Well, after a couple of beers and some courage, I unplugged the power cord on the back of the router and voila, here I am. In the garage, getting ready to watch the Royals with a cold Busch Light.

Thanks rr for the reset suggestion. :D:wacko:
