kickureface
standard scoring forte vs pitt (also said soldier field resod is hard to cut on) grant vs cin (i may be overvaluing the run D?) rice @ SD dmc @ KC leon vs NE (hello no-mayo) start 2--who are they? EDIT: matchup switched Edited September 19, 2009 by kickureface
BeeR
I almost can't believe I'm saying this but I would sit Forte and start Rice along with Grant.
jordanzs
Uhhhhhhh.............. didn't Rice play KC last week?!?!?! didn't DMC play SD last week?!?!?!
BeeR
lol - shows you how much attention I paid to the matchups. I still like Rice over Forte.

jordanzs
I would roll with Jackson & Grant
CardinalEmpire.com
Who the heck is Jackson? I actually have a very similar roster to yours. I'm playing Grant and Rice this week and making sure Cutler is going to figure out how to check down to a RB in the passing game. Running against the Steelers is going to be a tall order for Mr. Forte, stud or not.
jordanzs
Oooops, Sorry, I was thinking Fred Jackson, not Leon Washington. I would go with Grant & McFadden.
slasher
don't bench your stud! forte and Grant will get the majority of the carries and willl get the goalline work. If you want to bench those players with the most opportunities to benefit your team for a couple of half to 3/4 starters who are hit or miss...then I just can't be a party to it! kickureface
heh very split so far. i was thinking rice/dmc myself. but as a usc fan i probably am placing too much respect on CIN D Edited September 19, 2009 by kickureface

slasher
then why burn your no.1 pick on a player you are going to bench in week 2, a player you consider a situational starter?
CardinalEmpire.com
I don't think sitting Forte against the Steelers D qualifies as a "situational starter". I'd play him against almost anyone else. But coming off a bad performance against GB, with a QB who apparently doesn't know he makes a pretty good receiver, on a field that Forte has already been complaining about? Yeah, I'll give him the week off and let my depth work for me.
kickureface
because i wasnt planning on ever getting him until i was at pick6 i think and he was there. and didnt think through his situation when cutler is around. at least hes good for trade bait eh? big name

wildbluefan
I almost can't believe I'm saying this but I would sit Forte and start Rice along with Grant. Exactly what I am doing, and not even looking back....if Cutler not checking down to Forte out of backfield, he is "useless" this week vs Steelers IMO ! Couldn't agree more....a 2nd year RB coming off good (not great) season hardly qualifies as a "STUD" !!!
kickureface
i'd say he had a great season, but again not a stud yet

rbickford3
Pitt is gonna get at orton and completely shut down the pass. I think forte gets checked down to though Pit will control the clock (maybe not enought opportunity). will forte have two bad weeks will he then have a bad year? i would start him cause u have to have faith in your one. I think rice is a def. he should get a td this week with like 80 yards. foget leon the game is to unsure could be 40-35 or 10-7. I really think grant is gonna let some owners down this week green bay might get three or four by the air. i like the Mcfad. this week. Jemarcuss is not the greatest qb to be aided by the run he will aid the run. Oakland run run run. Hope this helps LIVEN THE DREAM
kickureface
problem is cutler needs to learn HOw to check down first.
