Tony Gonzales OR Zach Miller

Recommended Posts

Who Do I Start??

TE Tony Gonzales (5 rec, 73yds, & 1 td last week-18.30 points) going against Carolina this week OR

TE Zach Miller (6 rec, 96 yds & 0 td last week-15.60 points) going against Kanas City this week.

Someone let me know....

Atlanta will be running a lot this week against Carolina and Gonzo will be blocking more AND

Oakland cant throw the ball down field so Miller ends up getting a ton of targets.

I am 50/50 on this one from a fantasy point of view and i could use some outside input. Thanks.

I don't see the issue here. If your best argument against Gonzalez is that Atlanta will be running, I'd say that applies doubly to Oakland. They have a great 2-back system with DMC and Bush and are going against a team that just allowed 198 yards rushing (2nd worst total of Week 1). Delhomme looked awful against Philly, but I'd put the odds of Carolina having a bounce-back much higher than Kansas City. Matt Ryan and the receivers will need to be involved for the Falcons to win Sunday. I'm not sure JaMarcus Russell and company will be needed (or that Russell can consistently find guys if necessary).

Play Gonzo.

My leaning towards Gonzo is less the run/stud/whatever than the simple fact that Matt Ryan is a way better QB than Jamarcus Russell.

If Oakland ever got a decent QB, people would realize what a stud Miller is. But until then I'd go with Gonzo.
