Im deep at WR and need RB depth soo i think i can afford to get this deal done. WR: Roddy White Santonio Holmes TJ Housh RB: DeAngelo Williams Kevin Smith Felix Jones If i trade Smith away, i got another trade offer on the table. Jennings for Kevin Smith? I honestly am lost and dont know what to do. If i make both of those trades, I would, in other words, be trading Kevin Smith and Steve Smith for Jennings and Julius Jones? Is it an even trade? chubbyparrot Posted September 23, 2009 Share Posted September 23, 2009 I would keep NY Smith and stay away from Jones. He was awful against the 49ers and that was supposed to be an easy one for him. Justin Forsett was much more effective than jones...keep Smith! I would trade Kevin Smith for Jennings in a heartbeat. My RB after that trade would be Williams, Jones, Forsett, Davis, and Shonn Green...not very appealing. Ive been trying to trade Housh, he just doesnt seem to have any sort of value right now. I may be an optimist here, but am thinking that Smith will have a career year this year. I am ecstatic to have picked him up off FA after week two... Brentastic Posted September 24, 2009 Share Posted September 24, 2009 I would do this deal if you know you can then trade K. Smith for Jennings. I'm in the minority, but I like Julius Jones this year (only). He has a very easy schedule and his game against the 49ers shouldn't scare you - the 49ers have a good defense. You have flexibility at RB and can play matchups between JJ and Felix. I'm assuming you can start 3 WRs? If so, that gives you 3 very good WRs (all possible top 10) and a very flexible RB corps.
