Steave breaston is a great young wide out but with the absence of warner i just don't see him having the year you'd want out of this trade. mike-sims is probably the better end of this trade but david garrard is just not proven enough to me to solidify him as a proven threat especially since it's highly possible dez might end up there. fred davis is irrelevent, even with mcnabb there will just make chris cooley that much more valuable. now for what you give: Marshawn is going to be traded (i think anyways) and if he finds a way to end up a feature runningback (which he can be) he has a lot of upside. Santanio holmes just got traded to the jets and while i don't see them throwing the ball more than running it, in the long haul he is worth keeping. and in a few years when sanchez is a bit more settled he will be worth it. lets face it, the jets squeeked into the playoffs, but never the less, once they got there, they did a fine job. Vernon Davis is a solid TE and not worth giving up for fred davis. the 4.07 for the 4.12 is kinda pointless. you would be giving up a lot for basically 5 spots in the 4th round and potential stand out players. do not take this trade!! jordanzs
If someone offered me all those players for just Vernon Davis, I would still hit the decline button Are you & EaglesFan65 in the same league? Your team structures look identical. If so, is there a team or 2 in that league that's hordeing all the stud WRs? Both of you guys are short on top 30 WRs, each of you should have 2-3 of them. It looks that way plus I seen more start 2QB league questions this off season than ever in the past ,, never played in one myself. gandalas
Heh...it is actually quite funny - like 5 or 6 of the trade questions on the front page are from our league. There are indeed 2 teams that have the market cornered on top-15 WRs... One team has: Moss, Wayne, Jennings, and AJ The other one now has: Austin, Fitzgerald, Marshall. in comparison, other teams have: 1) Calvin Johnson, Boldin, Royal 2) Desean, Steve Smith (nyg), Harvin 3) Ward, Evans, Maclin 4) Hicks, Murphy, Rice 5) Crabtree, Bowe, Roddy 6) Holmes, Housh, Walter 7) Welker, Sims-Walker, Britt, Wallace, Breaston, 8) Braylon, Coles?, Muhammed? 9) Colston, Owens, Driver 10) Vincent Jackson, Garcon, Ochocinco So there are about 4 or 5 teams that are good at WR IMO, and a bunch of others that are ...lacking to say the least. The team that has Crabtree, Bowe, and Roddy is set up nicely for the future! I'm in a 10 team dynasty league that had our start up draft last year. I have Calvin, VJax, Crabtree, Jennings, and Smith (NYG). I rate those as 5 of the top 25 dynasty WRs, and they have lasting value. My WR hording comes at the expense of last year's league champ, who has Ocho, Ward, Garcon, Royal, Housh, etc. Now that the season is over, he's really feeling the pinch for needing to upgrade his WRs in order to compete this coming up season, but no one wants to budge on giving away their WR stash. Another team has Fitz & Andre (he got them with the 1.9 and 2.2 picks), so he's pretty set too!
Zooty
I dunno I kind of like it Brown is better than Lynch You get a 3rd WR which you need You give up a flex guy for that 3rd WR but since its a flex you have more options
jordanzs
In dynasty, I'd rather have Lynch over Brown any day. Lynch is still young & has a chance for a Cedric Benson style rebound. He needs a good kick in the a$$ and a change of scenery. Remember what a bust Benson was until he got a fresh start with the Bangles? Brown is old & broken down. This league has like 50 something roster positions, so they need to horde talent as much as possible. Sims-Walker vs. Holmes.........I think Holmes is better, but I could understand some people making the case for MSW being better. At the very least, Holmes = MSW 4th round picks are pretty similar. So now we get down to the root of the equation: Vernon Davis vs. Breaston & Fred Davis. Gimme Vernon ANY DAY! Dynastywise, vernon is pretty much the #1 TE going forward. Breaston won't amount to much, and Fred Davis, not sure on him, but he'll be nowhere near Vernon. I'm going to make a bold claim & say that Early Doucet plays his way up to the #2 WR position on The Cardinals & Breaston stays the #3WR.
