Chief Dick
Honestly, not a good team at all. Just drafted 7th overall in my CBS premium league. Here's my team: QB: Flacco RB: Steven Jackson always an injury risk, Mendenhall WR: Wes Welker Coming off of major knee surgery., Hines Ward Flex: Shonn Greene TE: Celek DST: Vikings BE: Vincent Jackson out for the first few games BE: Pierre Garcon BE: Mike Williams (TB) rookie on a bad team BE: Steve Slaton probably not the starter and who knows his role this year BE: Chester Taylor not sure why you would go with him Thanks Too many question marks. AoDay
I would say it's below average. Not a fan of Flacco although his numbers should go up this year. Back surgery is kind of jeering but otherwise your RBs are good especially for a 12 team league. I would say your greatest weakness is at WR. I don't think Ward will be the number 1 receiver with Wallace rising up and Welker is coming off a huge injury although I would take a chance on him but not as my #1 WR. VJax is out for 3 weeks and might get traded so who knows what QB might be passing to him. I don't believe in the Mike Williams hype, and Slaton isn't going to see much playing time with Foster although he is more attractive than a week ago since Tate is out for the season. Chester Taylor may see some more touches but similar to his role in MIN behind AP, I think Forte will bring himself back to shape. While it is good to take chances on sleepers and whatnot, you went a little overboard. Solidify your starting line up then fill in your bench if you have the option to. 9erGuy
I don't think it's as bad as everyone is telling you it is. First off, you have one more great season out of SJAX, and Mendenhall is a bona fide bellcow in a run heavy offense. You have done well to have those two as your RB's as some teams will have RM as their RB1. And Shonn Greene as a flex is outstanding. Teams would kill for your depth at RB, which may come in handy if you need to make a deal. Obviously you waited to draft a QB, and not a bad idea with some of the depth you built, Flacco is meh for me, and with no backup you could have problems. WR is an issue, but I think you have some potential. VJAX will get dealt and he's a big enough target to help you later. Garcon will surprise. You will dump Williams by week 3. Not a championship team, but a decent team.
