ttaylor8
To try to save some money at the WR position, I am considering going after Steve Smith (Car) & Dwayne Bowe for my top 2 WR's. My hope would be one of these guys would do better than expected and finish as a #1, top 10 WR. But I also know both could disappoint. I believe I could get both of them for $23 ($100/cap). The top WR's (Johnson/Moss/Wayne) will all for $23-$25 each. Any opinions - smart strategy or too risky?

Both have high upside and getting them both for 1/4 of your budget is good spending.
BeeR
No it's not, IMO. 23% for those two isn't bad, but not "good spending." The idea is fine generally, but I'd much rather have a stud and take my chances with a few lesser guys, one of which has a shot of surprising. PS: Wayne is not in the same class as Moss or AJ. Pillsbury
Like the strategy, but not high on Bowe. I think you can save a little more money and get a better WR imo. FWIW I think Smith will finish in the top 12 at WORST. He seems to have very good chemistry with Moore

You might have a consistent AJ who gets you 200 points but then have a Cribbs or Edwards that gets you 140, unconsistent points while you could have 2 top 20 like a Skywalker and DJax that get you a consistent 180 points
