lkirc
I think this trade, in a dynasty, boils down to how it fits with your roster. Your WRs are very weak outside of Roddy. Crabtree would certainly help there. Romo is a downgrade from Rodgers, but how much depends on how you value them. Rodgers is the flavor of the week right now. His value will never be higher. If you want to trade him, I think you need to shop for an owner who is drooling to get him and will pay top dollar. Try to get a better WR from him. whitehype
i think i would do it!!! i think Romo is going to have a great year... may produce a little less than rogers... but then you all so get Crabtree who can put up huge numbers too

muck
Until you give us his roster, I can't help you in deciding whether or not you should accept his offer or counter with something that may work better for you. gsxunv04
Keep who you got. Jacoby has a lot of upside and Rodgers is clearly the better FF QB Edited September 10, 2010 by gsxunv04

MTSuper7
I would counter offer a WR that has less upside. Romo and Crabtree for Rodgers and Roy Williams, for instance (or Justin Gage even). Assuming you start Turner, MJD and Caddy each week, you still have to field 4 WRs in your starting lineup. That projects to be White and Driver for sure, but then who? Will Massaquoi pan out? Lee Evans? Justin Gage? Those are ugly options, and I like the fact that you currently have both Kevin Walter and Jacoby Jones. I wouldn't split them up. Plus, you have to think long term of replacing Driver in your lineup. Next year, after making this trade, you could start White, Crabtree, Jacoby Jones and whoever emerges as your #4. This guy your trading with has Miles Austin, Brandon Marshall, and Santonio Holmes. He can afford the downgrade at #4 WR in order to get Rodgers (and Louis Murphy or Mike Thomas could emerge for him as well).
muck
Here's how I see the rosters break down by quality ( where elipses (...) designate a break in quality ): You: Rodgers ... Young MJD / MTurner ... Caddy .... RJennings (JAC) / JSnelling (ATL) / DWard (Hou) RWhite ... Driver ... Berrian / Evans ... Gage / Jones / Walter / Williams ... Branch / Gonzalez / Massaquoi Daniels / Olsen Him: Romo ... Favre ... Edwards ... Joe Webb / Skelton / Kitna Best ... Barber / Forsett / Slaton ... Dixon / Gerhart / Jackson / Keiland Williams Austin / Marshall ... Crabtree ... Holmes / Thomas ... Murphy ... Hurd / Cooper Davis ... Carlson / ZMiller (OAK) *********************************** First, I would not accept that offer. Second, I like all three of his TEs better than both of yours (in a dynasty especially). Third, other than RWhite and Driver, all the rest of your WRs are going to be week-to-week matchup calls (which, by definition, means they're not studs and can be dramatically improved upon). Fourth, you don't want Romo unless you get Kitna, too. Fifth, he has nothing much at RB and you have three starters at RB; take advantage of that. Sixth, I think Rodgers is 'all that' and so he needs to pay through the nose for him (imo). So, with all that, here are offers I would consider countering with: Caddy ... plus his choice of Daniels or Olsen for VDavis ... plus his choice of Crabtree or Thomas .......................... Caddy ... plus his choice of Berrian, Branch, Evans, Gage, Gonzalez, Jones, Massaquoi, Walter or Williams (collectively 'the other WRs') for his choice of Austin or Marshall ... plus his choice of Barber, Crabtree or Thomas .......................... Rodgers / Caddy / two of his choice of 'the other WRs' / his choice of Olsen or Daniels for Romo / your preference of Barber, Forsett or Slaton / his choice of Austin or Marshall / his choice of Crabtree or Thomas / VDavis [note: you have to get him to put Kitna in for a misc. WR from your team] .......................... Rodgers / Turner / Caddy / his choice of 'the other WRs' / his choice of Olsen or Daniels for Romo / Austin / Marshall / his choice of VDavis or Crabtree / his choice of Barber, Forsett or Slaton NOTE: When you put multiple offers like this in front of a guy, occasionally it'll cause him to wig out ... oftentimes, however, it'll cause him to tip his hand to indicate which of your players he may value more highly than you do and which of his players he values less than you do ... which is the key aspect of getting each owner to feel like they got a good deal ... which is what's required in order to get a trade done.
