Sirgalt
I'm good with dumping Hightower or Jackson if Ivory gets the go. In fact, I may dump Hightower to get Ivory just in case anyway. It's looking like PT could be out. Thoughts?
DeanT
I'd dump Jackson, always a chance Beanie gets banged up again so Hightower is worth stashing on the bench.
BearBroncos
Plus, even if Wells takes the majority of the snaps, TH will be active is play action situations and for check downs. He's still be very viable in the fantasy world.
Sirgalt
Thanks guys. Is Ivory even worth picking up? If PT is out, Ivory would be the starter against Carolina. I do have to drop someone for a replacement QB this week too, so I can't stretch myself too thin.
BearBroncos
I REALLY like Ivory. He showed some nice talent this preseason and should be affective this year. If PT is out, Ivory should get some serious numbers. He's almost a perfect build for that style of running.
BearBroncos
Just so I'm not giving a cross signal here, TH is still the guy. Ivory has some good dynasty or keeper value and maybe even some value towards the end of this year, but TH will out perform him early. Sirgalt
Gotcha. So really what I'm hearing is don't pick up Ivory to plug in for RB2 this week, right? Even though he hasn't performed, Brandon Jackson is going against the worst run D in the league, and Hightower still gets looks, so either one of them works as my RB2 over an Ivory, right? Keep a close eye on the injury report and how the team feels about PT's progress on Saturday. If he is a game time decision, you can't take the risk. Now, regarding Jackson.. I haven't liked him from day one and playing against the worst run D in the NFL still doesn't change that. He has absolutely no talent in tha position. I don't even know why GB had him as a backup.
