The last thing the owners want to do is be found to be colluding to the extent that they are refusing to do things that have nothing to do with the lockout. They don't. It's why they have maintained from the beginning the issue at hand is a labor issue. Their position with Judge Nelson (and everyone else all along) was basically "it's not up to you to decide this, let the NLRB deal with it since it's a labor issue". This is where the language about the Union still being a Union and the decertification being a sham comes in. They DON'T want it to be an anti-trust issue, and the players do. WaterMan Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 Unfortunately the judge concluded that a union cannot be forced to stay as a union. Thus making the NFL's last argument null.
