Jackass
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6710669 Lorenzo Charles died in bus accident I'll always remember watching that game - was a young kid and just had that feeling along with everyone else that Houston would pull away at some point and they never did. And that play where whittenburg shot from a mile away and noone was near the basket except for Lorenzo charles to dunk it in and seeing his reaction of just not believing what happened. and of course Jimmy V running around afterwards... Ditkaless Wonders
I did not know he was a bus driver.
detlef
We were stuck in the traffic behind that wreck. When we finally went past it, it was really an odd sight. You can usually figure out what happened, but I simply had no idea. Saw in the paper this morning that it was Charles and that he was the only person on the bus. I was the only kid in my 8th grade class who was rooting for them (I live near Raleigh now, but grew up in CA), for no other reason than everyone was so over the moon about Phi Slamma Jamma, so I wanted the underdog. I remember walking into math class the next day with a smug-assed look on my face after Charles made that shot.
