delusions of grandeur
<--- Rice owner Maybe they're bringing him in as a pure backup, and not a goal-line vulture? They certainly don't have much depth behind Rice, so hopefully that's all they're bringing them in for.... That's probably being naive though, because BAL has never wanted to risk Rice by running him at the goal-line... (ETA: DET fans gotta be bummed too with him getting snatched up right as LeShoure goes out... Maybe that's what got BAL to pull the trigger) Edited August 8, 2011 by delusions of granduer

delusions of grandeur
I think this is a hit to rice's Tds this year. "Despite the addition of Ricky Williams, OC Cam Cameron made it clear that Ray Rice will be the Ravens' goal-line back this season. "Ray Rice will play a major role in short-yardage and goal-line this year," Cameron said after the Williams signing. "We were just fortunate to have a guy like Willis [McGahee, before], but this year Ray Rice will be in short-yardage and goal-line as well. He is outstanding."
