McBoog
I see - makes sense now, there wasn't a ton of clarification after the play actually happened, other than a few replays showing the ball coming loose. Still a bad call IMO, but if Succop had made the FG we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Also, Costas talked about that kick after the Dallas game - he said a new rule was put in place this season, stating that you can't have more than 6 men on one side of the ball - the chargers apparently had 7. A penalty should have been called, giving succop another chance 5 yards closer. It doesn't hurt quite as bad since it really doesn't affect the Chiefs, but still would have been nice to see the second stringers pull it off. Nobody seemed to want that 6 seed today except Pittsburgh Weddel's helmet came off and by rule was down and that point. I wasn't sure he made the first down and thought they would challenge the spot as to me it looked short. As a Charger fan, we are usually, famously, on the wrong end of those more often than not (two league apologies this year alone for game changing mistakes by officials), so I'll take it for a change. Easy n Dirty
Did anybody catch this? I sure didn't. WHEW!!! Big blow to Steelers fans right there. But then again, if we're going to revisit every play after the fact, wouldn't the Seahawks all have Super Bowl rings?
