turbinator
Vikes rb situation is impossible to predict right now. So this is a boom/bust trade. Could possibly wind up w a good, high upside starting rb in McKinnon or I could end up dumping mckinnon on the wire if AP doesnt get a long suspension while trading a solid rb (albeit frustrating rb w Belicheck's unpredictable rb usage) in Ridley. I also have Asiata on my roster. Offer was made to me and it is on the table. Other owner has Vereen. Opinions please?
Down2aScience
I wouldn't do it. Ridley had 25 touches last game which is very encouraging. Of course doesn't mean anything for sure week to week in NE but that many carries screams premiere back and it be worth a wait and see IMO. On the other hand, McKinnon which the sources say is more explosive didn't have nearly as much of a role and may not be able to do anything with it if given the opportunity. This is all a very small sample size so it is hard to tell. Plus without us knowing how long or even when (this year?) APs inevitable suspension will be, I don't think it would be worth getting rid of Ridley. You need the more proven RB depth and I would stick with what you have. turbinator
Thanks. That's the way I'm leaning. Definitely the safer play. McKinnon turning into a stud rb this year is a long shot.
VegasMax
Wow, no way! Ridley seems to be out of the dog house this year. At least wait until next week where Ridley's value should go up with a good game.
rcal42
I wouldn't do it. It seems as though Peterson will not be facing a suspesion for the near future and any shot of mckinnon getting any solid playing time would only be if AD and Asiata get injured.
turbinator
Update: AP is out indefinitely- likely for most if not all of the season. Deal is still on the table. Has anyone seen McKinnon play? Is he a legit 3 down rb? All I'm going off of is his amazing combine numbers which I know doesn't always translate to the field. Jrh1986
Ridley is much better he's going to have a huge week this week against oak
PyroKid911
McKinnon does have amazing stuff, but he hasn't done anything on the field. I wouldn't be shocked if he's the Vikes lead back down the road or at least in a sharing role with Asiata, but when Ridley is on he's damn good.
SoonerCT22
Two gambles. I'd keep Ridley and i'm pretty high on McKinnon's ceiling this year. If Minnesota leaves Asiata as the every down back they will have no chance this year. An Adjustment is coming soon. Still, gotta keep Ridley here
