Football Follies
surprised they havent added another RB if this is the case, makes playing Boom Herron in a meaningless game all the more stupid
Bructer
I take it you guys don't think Gore will do well in Indy? I have a feeling he is going to do quite well. I hope so, I picked him up.
loaf
Chuck Pagano says that starting running back Frank Gore will be on a pitch count, at least to start the season. Need him for playoffs.
DbWell004
I take it you guys don't think Gore will do well in Indy? I have a feeling he is going to do quite well. I hope so, I picked him up. I think he will do very well, I've got him in two leagues and was pumped to get him in the 4th round. I'm just a little concerned by Pagano's statement and wondering if this places a handful of carried in Robinsons lap now.
Rimmytose
I don't think this is cause for concern with Gore. He's a great RB in a pass first offense. You didn't draft him because of the quantity of touches he would receive; you drafted him because of the quality of touches he will receive. The defense is going to respect Andrew Luck and his WR corps. This will allow Gore plenty of running room where I expect him to have an above average YPC. I still think he gets the red zone looks and all of touches when the game is close. He might be rested in games where they are blowing out their opponent and possibly once they have a playoff berth and first round bye locked up. Otherwise Gore is still the starting RB on the team and will see the majority of the looks.
WildTurkey
I took it as "coach speak" ... if he's killing it in there they keep feeding him the ball. If he's getting stuffed they either give him a blow or start passing it more. Doesn't impact my drafting him expecting him to be like he was the first few years in SF.
