dfv87
I missed the NY game this weekend but noticed Cruz is back in the box scores (we had been promised this many times before...) So how did he look? Guy was a quasi-beast before... with all the attention to OBJ I was thinking he might find some room to dance. so again... How did he look? AoDay
He looked pretty good. He didn't look at fast as he used to be, but still had excellent route running as usual which Manning seemed to still be in sync with. He played for 50/56 snaps as NYG ran 3 WR sets consistently. It simultaneously opened a lot of holes for Vereen and Jennings as well who looked good. He wasn't really contested for his 4 receptions where he ran 1 curl to the outside, 1 post and 2 crossing routes. He consistently had 3-4 yards of separation on Brandon Carr who was in coverage on 3 of the 5 plays. With his age, slower step, but good fundamentals I could see him playing a similar role to Fitzgerald while allowing Shepard and OBJ to stretch the field.

Shaft
He looked pretty good, all things considered. If he can stay healthy, the Giants will have a very dangerous passing game. I think it will benefit OBJ and keep defenses honest, especially with having good receiving running backs.
